Supertubos! - The Fourth Drive! (LP)
€20,00The Fourth Drive is Supertubos’ fourth album. Their best work to date, in it they have managed to combine their musical tastes and their extensive experience after their time in previous groups, all of them focused on rock and roll, surf, garage… This installment of eight tracks places them at the top of the instrumental music you can imagine. The impact of Supertubos has crossed our borders and has been played on American radio stations. The quality of the recording in the Circo Perrotti studios guarantees the songs that you can enjoy surfing from Barbados to France passing through Cantabria, which has endorsed their overwhelming live performances with surgeon-like precision.
“Magnetika” will catch you without you realizing it, “Hamburg 61” will not be able to get it out of your brain, “Fourth Wave” will transport you quickly to the shore; “Experiment in Terror” demonstrates a logical reference and that is why they recreate Henry Mancini, as well as the nods to Stereolab and Avengers VI in “French Bomb”.
Refreshing sounds, frenetic rhythms and a perfect balance is all you will find on this new album. Immerse yourself with Supertubos and let yourself go.Cover design by the great Marcel Bontempi!

Hawkins Screaming Jay - The Night and Day of… (LP)
€25,00Info:
‘’Music shouldn’t shoulder or force its way into the album racks of any population, rather the population should induce itself to enjoy music and develop a personal taste, every soul should make up its own mind, a passion is all the greater if it has grown out of a cross selection of experiences. Generally, if a certain ’thing’ becomes a great success, that success is made greater by the mass persuasive mouth of the press, by some standards the more pop and the more publicised, as the more immoral. The popularity of popular music has opened up a gap that allows second rate material to introduced, this is unfortunate for I believe that bad music is much much worse than no music at all. Popularity sometimes frightens me because it tends to endorse bad music. Just look around at what people are praising in the arts, weigh up how much is incomprehensible with how much is pretended to be understood. Bach is, popular in a minority on his own merits, not by an infectious trend, that’s how I’d like it with me.’’
Many can sing in tune, few (less even) can scream. Jay Hawkins was and is unique, he enjoyed his monopoly which straddled the fence of Rhythm and Blues. He was young, and screamin’ was means to an end, this album isn’t the end, nor the beginning of. It is one side of Mr. Hawkins, his night and day.
– From the back cover notes of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ second LP, NIGHT AND DAY, released in 1967 in the UK only. Up to now. -
Dale Dick - Rockin’ Rollin Vol.1 (7 single/EP)
€13,00info:
Dick Dale’s first recording came two years before he formed the Del-Tones and was crowned King of The Surf Guitar. That record was “Ooh Whee Marie,” released on his father’s fledging Del-Tone label in the summer of 1958. Dale was 21 years old at the time and encouraged by his father to learn guitar and trumpet. His musical hero was Hank Williams and other country stars he heard on the radio, including Buddy Holly, whose influence is apparent on “Marie.” He soon developed an impression of Elvis that he took to various talent shows around the Los Angeles area. He won enough of these shows to bring him to the Town Hall Party stage, a three-hour live Saturday night viewing staple
broadcast from Compton. Dale played trumpet in the backing band that accompanied various guest stars.
There was also plenty of rockabilly music from the younger artists on that show, which influenced Dale’s third outing on record, “Jessie Pearl” and “St. Louis Blues,” recorded earlier, but released in the summer of 1960. “Jessie Pearl” was Dale’s first self-penned song. “St. Louis Blues,” an old W.C. Handy jazz number, was a song Dale had picked up learning how to play trumpet. Around July, 1960, Dick Dale formed the Del-Tones and began playing to capacity crowds at the Rendezvous Ballroom in Newport Beach. His next
release was “Let’s Go Trippin’.” He had single-handedly launched the surf music genre.

Lisa Beat And The Liars - Sheena Is a Beat Rocker 7″ EP (7 single/EP)
€12,00Lisa Beat and The Liars is an Italian band from Ancona. On the scene since 2016, they have released two 7″ over the last three years as “Lisa Beat e i Bugiardi”. This brand new record is their first with English lyrics and represents a shift towards a more international sound.
On the A side, the title track is a fun-filled Mersey Beat style rearrangement of one of the most popular Ramones’ song: “Sheena is a Punk Rocker” and you will hear about Sheena who has moved from NYC to 60s’ misty Liverpool to become a real Beat Rocker. But rather than going to the Discothèque À-Go-Go with their surfboards, here The Kids go to the Marquee Club in Soho with their Rickenbackers and perform some great swinging tunes!
On the B side “Italian Sun” is based on the 60s’ classic “California Sun” and it’s a tribute to the origin of the band: an invite to ride your Lambretta and spend your summer holidays traveling up and down the peninsula under the warm Italian sun. And yes, this song too has been recorded with that early Mersey Beat sound that is so inspiring for the band.
And because 3 is the perfect number, there is a bonus track: the “Liars” version of “Little Latin Lupe Lu”, released with their first 7″ and a perennial hit with show-goers everywhere.

Speeding Bullets - Space Rumble (LP)
€27,00Finally! “Space Rumble” is the long awaited debut album of the Portuguese Psychobilly and surf band “The Speeding Bullets”.
These cats started out in Coimbra, in the distant summer of 2000, playing together for the love of fun and rock and roll, at a time in which the once bubbling rock and roll scene of the city started to fade. After some changes in the line-up, Bruno Malo, Luis Duarte, Tiago Coelho (a.k.a.) Nakata and José Rebola started to play all over the country, gathering new fans in each concert.
The fans echoed their songs, but these never got recorded, first because there were no means to do so (apart from a brave demo recorded by Bruno Simões with only one microphone), and later on because the bass player moved to the Uk to play with bands such as Guitar Slingers, Moonshine Stalkers and Tasteless.
Their concerts grew thinner, but they never stopped playing, And the fans never forgot. In 2020, celebrating the band’s 20 years they started to take seriously the idea of collecting their best songs in a recorded masterpiece. And that’s exactly what “Space Rumble” is.Recorded at Bluehouse Studios, mixed and mastered at Submarine Sound Studios, these 12 songs perfectly capture the band’s energy. Bruno’s blazing double-bass slaps, Luis’ fierce drumming, Nakata’s unparalleled guitar wipeout, and Rebola’s dazzling riffs join their frantic vocals. It’s all there!
“Space Rumble” is a journey into 20 years of psychobilly, surf rock, sci-fi and b-line movies, but most of all, fun and brotherhood. The Speeding Bullets are:
Bruno Malo: double bass, vocals
José Rebola: guitars, darbuka, vocals, sonoplasty
Tiago “Nakata” Coelho: guitars, vocals
Luís Duarte: drums, percussion, keys, vocals -
