Now available on vinyl: SOUTHBOUND, originally released in 1998 and featuring the August 31 1976 show from Macon Georgia. The 7th tour of 1976 is not known as being the best tour in Elvis’ career. During this particular show Elvis appeared demotivated. He was definitely struggling to get to the end of this engagement. Most likely the crowd never even noticed this as they go wild like always as Elvis delivered a mediocre performance.Still, it’s a part of Elvis’ career that deserves a release on vinyl.
22 years after the original CD release it is time for a high quality re-release of this performance. For the very first time this show is now available on a high quality double vinyl set.
The show is newly remastered and updated in the best way possible! This release is very limited and is available in RED or BLUE vinyl presented in a gatefold sleeve. And of course the show is included on CD too.
For now this is the last reissue in the Luxor classic reissue series. But………… be ready for some nice surprises in the near future.

An American Trilogy contains Las Vegas Concert Recordings from the January/February 1972 Engagement. This quarter’s regular 5″ digipack release covers Elvis’ engagement at The Las Vegas Hilton in January-February, 1972. RCA did not record entire shows, and several of the new songs Elvis had added to his shows were only recorded once. The consequence is that the main body of the CD – the RCA recordings – feature several previously released versions. Soundboard (informal) recordings of other song performances during the engagement were added to the end of the disc in order to make this as representative as possible of Elvis repertoire at that time.

These truly historical recordings, remastered and restored capture the raw and early development of songs that were performed weeks later in Las Vegas. As usual MRS has spared every expense in our remastering techniques. For the first time ever all, the tracks listed have had repairs and restorations having now the same mastering techniques, used on such recent MRS releases such as ‘Made in Germany’ and ‘Such a Night in Pearl Harbor’. A sample sound of this will circulate on forums within days of this announcement.
