  • Fleshtones - Stocking Stuffer -15th Anniversary (Green) (LP)

    33,00

From the garage rock gods who brought the world ”Super Rock,” Stocking Stuffer is the Christmas album for music fans who hate run-of-the mill Christmas music. The Fleshtones just want to rock and they’re not about to let peace on Earth or goodwill to men get in the way. ”Hooray for Santa Claus” (from the cult classic 1964 b-movie “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians) kicks off the album and ”Champagne Christmas” looks back to The Fleshtones’ classic R&B roots while extolling the virtues of more than a little yuletide bubbly. Stocking Stuffer is festive enough to get you in the holiday mood but rocks hard enough to keep the eggnog flowing through all your rock’n roll sing-a-longs.

The album is being reissued on green color vinyl for its 15th anniversary after being out-of-print since its original 2008 pressing! The album is remastered for vinyl by Mike Westbrook of MW Audio and is limited to 1,000 copies worldwide! (This is a 2023 Black Friday Record Store Day release.)

  • Syndicate of Sound - Little Girl (LP)

”Little Girl,” the Syndicate Of Sound’s swaggering top ten single from the summer of 1966 was a song that defined, if not a generation, at least a genre. We present the world’s first reissue of the original Syndicate album – with four killer non-LP single sides added, unseen photos, new notes culled from interviews with the Syndicate, and more! ”The rockin’est little punkadelic band ever to come out of San Jose, this ’60s quintet is remembered for its sole hit, ’Little Girl.’ But they should have been contenders – all of the tracks here rock like hell.” – Pulse Magazine Also available on compact disc!”.. one of the most solid LPs by a ’60s garage band…” – Ugly Things

  • We the People - Too Much Noise (Coloured) (LP)

    20,00

Occasionally we have a little extra fun with our vinyl and will spontaneously create a short run of existing records on cool colored vinyl! Garage fans agree: We The People’s raging, tough-as-nails punk tracks “Mirror of Your Mind” and “You Burn Me Up and Down” rate among the era’s best. But believe it or not this band was capable of even more. Along with the above two hammer-down classics, Too Much Noise collates everything the seminal—and surprisingly diverse—Central Florida outfit cut for the Challenge label during the band’s mid-’60s heyday, including the raga-rock fave “In the Past” (covered by the Chocolate Watchband) and the tender folk-rock ballad “(You Are) The Color of Love.” Sourced from the original analog masters, here are We the People’s three scarce and essential Challenge single sides plus material recorded for the label but unreleased at the time—all of it in raw, skull-crushing fidelity on CD and high-definition vinyl. Tracks on this release also appear on the following compilation :Garage Beat ’66 Vol. 6: Speak of the Devil… CD

  • Uniques - Uniquely Yours (LP)

    20,00

A decade before he was topping the country charts, Joe Stampley fronted one of the deep south’s most legendary and rockin’ ’60s combos, the Uniques. Once signed to Shreveport, Louisiana-based Paula Records, the Uniques made waves nationally on their very first release, “Not Too Long Ago.” That pop classic (faithfully/recently covered by Nick Lowe) is just one of many highlights of their ’66 debut LP, Uniquely Yours. According to the master tape, this record was originally going to be tagged The Uniques in Action; a shelved album title that could not have been more apt. Finally reissued (and in fabulous mono, to boot), this is southern rock ’n’ soul at its finest; a real mélange of styles that swings wildly from deep-fried garage rock, frenzied frat-beat, infectious Stampley-penned pop, and gorgeously soulful ballads. From Presley and Gene Vincent to any Justice label ’60s garage band worth mentioning, southerners have always littered their LPs with this latter fare. But when it comes to delivering a soulful ballad, Joe Stampley is up there with the very best of ’em. Uniquely Yours includes the group’s all-time biggest regional hit, a cover of Art Neville’s “All These Things” (in its original mix, unadorned by string overdubs) and a “Georgia (On My Mind)” that simply blows away all other white boy soul renditions. But make no mistake, this is a largely uptempo set marked by the ferocious punk pace of “You Ain’t Tuff,” updated rockabilly funkiness of “Fast Way of Living,” blistering guitar workouts like “Strange,” plus some of the best damned covers ever waxed. For a positively unique album experience, Sundazed includes the classy period sleeve design from the original Paula release.

  • Outlaws and Mike Berry - Poppin’ At 304 (CD)

    13,00

Joe Meek remains a legendary figure in the British music industry, a ’mad genius’, a pioneer but with a flawed personality that meant working with him could be a tempestuous time.

Mike Berry and The Outlaws recorded together and separately for Meek and were two of his most successful acts.

Mike Berry went on to have other hits and make his name as an actor in Are You being Served? and Worzel Gummidge.

Members of The Outlaws included highly rated drummer and session musician / producer Bobby Graham, Chas Hodges who later made a name for himself as one half on Chas & Dave and on one track on this CD, guitarist Ritchie Blackmore was a member.

Included in this twenty-two track package are the instrumentals The Outlaws recorded, two of which were hits, along with tracks on which they provided the backing tracks for Mike Berry. Including ’Tribute To Buddy Holly’ and his Top 10 hit ’Don’t You Think It’s Time’.

This is classic Joe Meek produced pop music from the very early sixties and is the first time the artists have been compiled, in any sort of depth, on one CD.

The booklet tells the story of Joe Meek, The Outlaws and Mike Berry in the years before The Beatles and Merseybeat changed the British music scene and contains label scans and other contemporary visuals.

  • Various - Ain’t It Hard! Garage & Psych from Viva Records (LP)

    20,00

The short-lived Viva Records label was one wildly eclectic outfit. Helmed by hitmaker Snuff Garrett, this Los Angeles-based imprint targeted the teen marketplace with a series of extraordinary garage / psych / pop singles. The label’s command of popular styles prevailed across these Top 40 hopefuls, ranging from the stomping beat of the Shindogs to the psych-fuzz nirvana of the Sound Sandwich. And there’s Class of ’66 garage-grunge from the Wailers and the Second Helping (yes, that’s a teenage Kenny Loggins howling at the moon on the positively snarling Let Me In,” among other selections). With a supporting cast led by Leon Russell and J.J. Cale and bolstered with choice Snuff Garrett Productions like Gypsy Trips and Sunday Servants, Ain’t It Hard! stands as an essential anthology of Sunset Strip sixties sounds!”
