LP Box set, thick booklet, black vinyl
Formed in 1995 in Karlstad, Sweden by Rob Coffinshaker, these graveyard country pioneers have been steadily putting out records, most of which have now become highly sought-after collector items. The Coffinshakers successfully merged the imagery of German expressionist cinema with traditional country sounds of Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash, occasionally flirting with Ennio Morricone -style melodies and the 60’s surf-garage sounds of The Ventures. Topped with full-bodied lyrics and Rob Coffinshaker’s haunting, low register voice, this combination gained them a cult following in the late 90’s and 2000’s, and they even creeped up to the Finnish top 40 with their self-titled album in 2007.
Svart Records are proud to announce the official Coffinshakers vinyl reissues, which have been in the works for a couple of years now. These reissues include the full length albums We Are The Undead (1998) and The Coffinshakers (2007), both of which come in repro-sleeves with original artwork. There’s also a deluxe box set edition titled “The Curse of the Coffinshakers 1996-2016”, which includes both albums, 2 bonus LPs (From the Crypt – Rare and Unreleased vol. I and vol. II) and a thick booklet with a lengthy interview and archive material. The bonus LPs are only available in the box set and they include rare compilation tracks, EP releases and a handful of unreleased tunes from Rob Coffinshaker’s personal vault

Meteors - Dreamin’ Up A Nightmare (LP)€22,00
RELEASE DATE: JULY 9, 2021 JULKAISU : Heinäkuun 9, 2021
THE METEORS – ”Back to hell we go”!
THE METEORS were formed in 1980 in a reaction to the bands that were singing about ‘Big Green Cars’, ‘Rocking This Town’ and being ‘Rockabilly Rebels’. Preferring their songs to contain topics about vampires, stomping in graveyards and radioactive kids P. Paul Fenech, Mark Robertson and Nigel Lewis soon found themselves all over the media. A media who were eagerly lapping up their new sound christened (thought that is surely not the right word) – ‘Psychobilly’. THE METEORS were front page news in the weekly music press, recording radio sessions and interviews for legends like John Peel, and gracing the silver screen care of a movie short that did the rounds with the Two-Tone movie ‘Dance Craze’. Their film ‘Meteor Madness’, apart from hosting some crazed performances with the unhinged trio, also featured songstress Lilly Allen’s father starring as none other than the rather exasperated Devil, strange but true.
By 1982 the original line-up had split with Lewis and Robertson going on to form their own bands while P. Paul forged ahead with a free hand with THE METEORS and his idea of how psychobilly should sound. That was a sound that had grown from one of a band’s own personal identity to a world-wide genre that is Psychobilly now over 40 years established and still growing and thriving around the globe. THE METEORS have continued to inspire and influence countless bands while continuing to lead the charge from the very vanguard.
Now 41 years later, we are in year 2 of the Covid pandemic. But even this could not stop the rolling hate train. In the woods of Oregon, Paul Fenech built himself a new home and his own new recording studio ”Wolftone”. This is also where the new album ”Dreamin’ Up A Nightmare” came into being.
So here we go again into the pure psychobilly madness of the kings. Now, fresh as ever even after decades of constant touring and more over 30 groundbreaking and cult sustaining albums, THE METEORS present their superb ”next evolution” in the genre that they created and have cultivated and moved forward time after time. It is as uncompromising as ever and encompasses all the elements that have always made up THE METEORS brand of ”Pure Psychobilly”. 12 brandnew tracks of evil psychobilly rock ‘n‘ roll, razor sharp instrumentals and deranged lyrics leading to songs that are guaranteed to set any monsters lose and putting them straight to the wrecking pit! Paul Fenech is not deterred and continues his musical vision undiminished.
Pandemic or not… ONLY THE METEORS ARE PURE PSYCHOBILLY!

Demon Raid - Final Day (LP)€27,00
Here it is!!!, nearly 2 years since its recording!! the second album by this great Finnish psychobilly trio featuring Juha who played bass for several psycho outfits as Deepsix, Mental hospital, Evil gnomes
The digital version of this will be out through Jungle Records (finland), we will take care of this ultra limited vinyl run. Demon Raid offers one of the best albums to come out recently in a 90’s psychobilly style, if their first album was good this one is and absolute killer song by song!! Mix of tempos with prominent fast numbers with relentless slap bass and catchy melodies remembering some times a bit of the Nekromantix on their Brought Back to life era but yet very far from being imitators or rip offs of any other band, this also could be considered as a mature version of the old Mental Hospital in a more melodic direction. 14 selfpenned numbers , Final Day is strictly limited to 150 copies on black vinyl, including lyrics and pics inlay, hand numbered of course.
Full Moon Freaks - B Movies For The Blind (LP)€25,00
The Scottist crazies are back with another release for us, you might remember them from their split with Grovelhog. But, well, forget about it!!!
This is basically another band with another style… yet for sure keep connections with the original forgotten recordings that were featured on the above release, but this is muuuuuch better!! The offering here as you might have read on our promo flyers is a crazy mix of psychobilly, surf, garage trash and punk all performed with great production, songwriting and musicianship, the album compiles basically everything the guys recorded since their comeback in the 2010´s, all has been remastered and repackaged onto a beautiful LP to make it work as a powerfull full lenght. Honestly we found them as some of the best offerings of the” Trash” comeback , even thought compare them with those bands couldnt be exactly correct, the band sounds tight and the production is strong, no LO -FI here, also they dont fall in the old standarts, there is a huge variation of sounds through the whole LP.
B- Movies for the blind come out limited to 200 copies!! pressed onto 180 grams vinyl with beautiful inside out cover, including inlay with pictures and extensive liner notes. 100 copies on black vinyl and 100 copies on dark zombie green!!
