An ultracool mix of danceable Rhythm & Blues, Hammond Jazz, raw electric Blues from labels like Chess and Excello and something that mutated into Soul in the years to come. As there was no proper distribution at the time and one could not fly to the United States to buy records like today (prices for flights were enormous) these tunes could only be heard in Clubs like The Scene or Flamingo spun by forward thinking DJ’s like Guy Stevens.
