The Devil himself used to sit in a tree at the Hårga mountain and play so that people danced until only their skulls remained, that was a well known fact……
The year was 1981, and the place Kilafors in Hälsingland. Three youngsters – Jesse James (16), Dickie Dirtwater (16) and Terrible Tom Powder (14) decide to form a band. They named themselves ’The Steelcramphs’.
With the Rock & Roll revival at its peak and as teenagers growing up in a society where expressions like: four on the floor, burnout and moonshine were more common than: stockbrooker, yuppie and BMW, ain’t no wonder these youngsters formed a Rock & Roll combo!
They later transformed into ’Sneaky Pete & His Ham Tramk Home Brewers’, and shortly after into the ’Black Knights’, travelling to their first gigs by train and bus (that’s how I met ’em in ’82 ) or Dickie’s mother giving them a ride.
They’ve kept the same line up since the start (well, Alf Östlund joined them on acoustic guitar for a while) and I think they’ve kept the same fans all along although they’ve increased over the years. As there’s no doubt that the Black Knights are today more popular than ever.”

Their debut album ”Hangin’ Around” was a great success and put the band on the map, now we are proud to present their sophomore album ”Till The Dawn”
With a driving Slap-bass, great harmonies and a touch of good ol´Country music in there somewhere they have formed a sound not present in many bands today and it is evident that they fill a void out there.During the vinter of 2019 they entered the studio here in Enviken and started recording new songs, according to the reactions so far it looks like they’ve got a winner!
They have picked songs from classic 50’s artists aswell as contemporary bands such as The Barnshakers, Di Maggio Bros and The Nu-Niles, and on top of that we also get 5 original songs.This a very strong album that will appeal to lovers of both Rockabilly and Country.
Mike Teardrop had played bass with various bands on the Swedish circuit, although he had all along nurtured a dream to sing and front his own band for some time, so when teaming up with Rasmus Andersson on guitar and Henrik Ulander on drums there were no stopping and his dream come true.
And for that we are truly grateful!We are proud to present their sophomore album ”Till The Dawn” that will be released on June 28th 2019!

Mike Teardrop Trio - Hangin’ Around (CD)

Lil` Linn & The Lookout Boys - Sharpshooting Gal (CD)

Lil’ Linn will appear at the High Rockabilly festival in Spain later on this year & after that we believe that she’ll be a regular guest on the festivals out there.
Musically it’s a mix of Hillbilly, Rockabilly & Countryboogie, a bit like it sounded the first half of the 50’s when artists like Rose Maddox, Charline Arthur, Kay Starr etc hit the charts. Lil’ Linn got a voice that fits the style perfectly. Here at the Enviken studio we’ve tried to give her an as authentic sound as possible.
Out of 15 tracks 9 is selfpenned by the band, also there’s a cool guestappereance by no one less than Sonny Rogers himself, whom dropped by the studio to record a duet with Lil’ Linn on the track Open Road”!
