  • Keith Toby - The Bus Songs (CD)

    11,00

2017 release from the country music artist. The familiar maxim of the triple threat – singer, songwriter, musician – doesn’t begin to cover it for Toby Keith, one of the modern era’s most complete self-directed hit makers. And Keith’s most recent several months are a remarkably accurate representation of his entire career. He wrote, produced and released ”Wacky Tobaccy,” whose accompanying music video features Willie Nelson and has quickly become a surprise runaway viral hit, amassing millions of views immediately after it’s posting. From the moment Toby’s debut single, the engine driving everything else has been the music. He writes it. He arranges and produces it. And he releases it on his own record label, Show Dog Nashville. At the core is his songwriting, as recognized in his 2015 induction into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in New York City. The Nashville Songwriters Association International named him Songwriter/Artist of the Decade and he is a three-time BMI Country Songwriter/Artist of the Year. His songs have received more than 90 million BMI performances on commercial radio stations worldwide. Keith’s albums have sold more than 40 million copies

  • Presley Angaleena - Wrangled (CD)

    18,00

Angaleena Presley follows her critically acclaimed 2014 debut, American Middle Class, with the no-holds-barred 12-track collection Wrangled. Angaleena’s ambitious and riveting songwriting punches through each of the co-written tracks. Once again she took a lead chair at the studio’s board, co-producing with Oran Thornton (Eric Church, David Nail) and recording close to home at famed ”Ronnie’s Place” in Nashville.

One of the album’s many highlights is ”Cheer Up Little Darling” – which Angaleena co-wrote with her dear friend Guy Clark. This is the last song completed by Guy before his death and features Shawn Camp playing Guy’s No. 10 guitar, which was used to write the song with Guy, and Guy’s mandola, which he had been learning to play during the last year of his life.

Another spotlight track is ”Dreams Don’t Come True,” written with Pistol Annie sisters, Miranda Lambert and Ashley Monroe. ”Only Blood” was written with fellow East Kentuckian, Chris Stapleton and features Morgane Stapleton’s unmistakable vocals, while ”Good Girl Down” yielded unforgettable moments with the legendary Wanda Jackson.

  • Presley Angaleena - American Middle Class (CD)

    18,00

If there is a pedigree for a modern country music star, then Angaleena Presley fits all of  the criteria: a coal miners daughter; native of Beauty, Kentucky; a direct descendent of  the original feuding McCoys; a one time single mother; a graduate of both the school of hard knocks and college; a former cashier at both WalMart and WinnDixie. Perhaps best of all the member of Platinum selling Pistol Annies (with Miranda Lambert and Ashley Monroe) says she does not know how to not tell the truth.

That truth shines through on her much anticipated debut album, American Middle  Class. Yet this is not only the kind of truth that country music has always been known
for, American Middle Class takes it a step further by not only being a revealing memoir of Presleys colorful experiences but also a powerful look at contemporary rural American life.

I have lived every minute on this record. My mama aint none too happy about me spreading my business around but I have to do it,  Presley says.

  • Bell Luke - Same (CD)

    18,00

Luke Bell’s backstory could’ve come out of the pages of a novel by Jim Harrison, Thomas McGuane or Cormac McCarthy. A fifth-generation descendant of Wyoming homesteaders, the ranch hand turned troubadour has seen a lot of life in his 26 years on this mortal coil, and his self titled album serves as a rollicking document of his experiences. The record is teeming with colorful characters, captured in hardscrabble yarns of living hard and drinking harder, making bad choices and laughing them off. There’s a little bit of their author in each of these flawed but redeemable characters-and at a time when authenticity is in short supply, Luke Bell has come along to remind us what it feels like to be truly alive and open to the possibilities of existence in a captivating song cycle that puts the cowboy back into country & western.
