Slapping Suspenders - Who The Fuck Is God! (Käytetty CD)
€40,00”All started (February 2001) when Michael, Ken, Kjell, Robin and Eric
met at the Bettyford Clinic (CA) where they were spending some ”vacations”.
We got together for some rehearsal to do the German tour booked later
that year.
All the guys were actually busy with their own bands but we agree to do
the tour and then split.
April 2001
We’re on the way to Germany (Hamburg, Erlangen, Risa, Berlin).
Slapping Suspenders (SS) hasn’t been touring for 3 years so everybody is
a bit nervous and especially because some of the guys never met before
the rehearsal.
This tour will never be forgotten by anyone in the band, we still talk
about that crazy adventure in Germany.
May 2001
We are still together and decide to record some new material. After one
week of hard labor the album, ”Who the fuck is God” is ready.
One of the songs on the album is very particular and spooky; it is the
absolute last song that Michael wrote just few weeks before he past
away. That song is called ”I’m dead”!!! He didn’t know what was going to
happen, isn’t it strange?
June 2001
It’s time for a tour in Holland for a Festival (with Frantic
Flintstones) and some gigs.
The day before leaving Sweden the 6th of June we get the news that
Michael got drunk and robbed and arrested and that he unfortunately died
in the cell at the police station. In the night he was sent to the
nearest hospital where they reanimated him. But after a few hours he
finally died.
We were devastated by the happening and couldn’t believe it. And after a
few days, when everybody got themselves together again, we decided to
let Slapping Suspenders die with Michael.
His wife told us that Michael ounce said that if something should happen
to him, we should go on with the band. And after a few months of grief
we got the band together just like Michael wanted it.
We had at that time a tour booked in the States (Big Rumble in New-York,
Boston, Philadelphia, Montreal) for Halloween, and in the same time the
opportunity to go to Japan to do some gigs. And we choose to do America
and Japan maybe later. So we decided to rehears and do the tour for
Michael. But everybody knows what happened in September the 11th in New
York! NO TOUR!!!
Outro
People have asked us why not changing the name of the band, and that
exactly what we were thinking but what the fuck, Ken’s been in the band
since ”Grease” and we don’t think that Michael would have wanted that,
and who’s gonna play the SS’s songs??
SO WE ARE STILL THE SLAPPING SUSPENDERS AND WE’RE GONNA ROCK YOUR ASS
UPSIDE DOWN AND INSIDE OUT!!!”

Presley Elvis - Change Of Habit (Suomitekstitys) (DVD)
€20,00Change of Habit is a 1969 American crime drama musical film directed by William A. Graham and starring Elvis Presley and Mary Tyler Moore. Written by James Lee, S.S. Schweitzer, and Eric Bercovici, based on a story by John Joseph and Richard Morris, the film is about three Catholic nuns, preparing for their final vows, who are sent to a rough inner city neighborhood dressed as lay missionaries to work at a clinic run by a young doctor. Their lives become complicated by the realities they face in the inner city, and by the doctor who falls in love with one of the nuns.
The film was produced by Joe Connelly for NBC Productions and distributed by Universal Pictures. Filmed on location in the Los Angeles area and at the Universal Studios during March and April 1969, Change of Habit was released in the United States on November 10, 1969. It spent four weeks on the Variety Box Office Survey, peaking at #17.
Change of Habit was Presley’s 31st and final film acting role; his remaining film appearances were in concert documentaries. The film was Moore’s fourth and final film under her brief Universal Pictures contract; she would not appear in another theatrical movie until Ordinary People in 1980. Moore and Edward Asner, who also appears in the film, would go on to star in The Mary Tyler Moore Show, which premiered in September of the following year.

Robbins Marty - Town Hall Party (DVD)
€12,50Marty Robbins was a reticent television performer. His appearances during the early part of his career were few. So this is a treasure trove. Here are performances and interviews dating from the heart of Marty’s golden era. As an added bonus, we catch Tompall and the Glaser Brothers at the dawn of their long career. Marty was perhaps the most versatile singer in country music, and these long lost performances bear that out. He runs the gamut from Hawaiian songs to western ballads to teen pop to classic country. He does it all effortlessly, and he does it all superbly. If you weren’t lucky enough to be at the old Town Hall Party in February and October 1959, we’ll take you there!
