  • Presley Elvis - The King Strikes Back (10CD Boxset) (Käytetty CD)

    129,00

The Audionics label is proud to come up with a new, comprehensive 10CD project, dedicated to Elvis’ legendary Las Vegas Summer ’74 season. It is called  ”THE KING STRIKES BACK!“ and for the first time ever, all rehearsal and live soundboard recordings are presented in best possible sound quality and in one box!
As you know, these recordings were released through the years by various bootleg labels and by the official collectors FTD label, too. Nevertheless, many of these original releases are hard to find nowadays, including several already deleted FTD CDs! For some of these recordings we have used audio tapes (master cassettes) as a source, rather than existing CD releases. We have spent dozens of hours in studio, to restore and enhance them. As usual, every recording was treated individually and restored from scratch, using today’s advanced technology to achieve the best possible sound quality for your optimal listening pleasure.

Each disc is placed in individually designed cardboard sleeve and there is a 16-page booklet, full of high quality August/September 1974 photos (including several rare ones) and reproductions of fan reviews, published in the hard-to-find Rex Martin “Elvis News Service Weekly” magazine, back in 1974. These reviews are special, because they were published shortly after the concerts and those memories are immediate and fresh.

This is the first-ever Audionics comprehensive box. It’s a special set which deserves a place in any serious Elvis collection!

  • Presley Elvis - Set Of 5 Elvis SUN 78 rpm singles (Clear vinyl) (78 rpm/Savikiekot)

    120,00

With the 40th Anniversary of Elvis’ passing comes a special release. Record players sold today are increasingly adding the 78RPM speed to the norm and these 5 magnificent Sun 10” (inch) replica singles play at 78RPM. This is the first time since Elvis Sun replicas produced in the 1970’s, that have been made to play the original 78RPM speed. Since then some were only made at 45rpm.
Each of the 5 Sun replicas have the original etched numbers included with the appropriate song sides and are by far the most original Sun replicas made. All the labels are perfect (as the original) in size, accuracy and color. All the singles come in the same type sleeves as sold with the original releases. The sound quality is excellent with the original Sun sound recordings (including That’s All Right) and is pressed on heavy stock vinyl.
This is a strictly low limited number release and an extra low limited number release of a CRYSTAL-CLEAR version in a clear polybag. A first time ever in this version for any Elvis Sun single replica produced.

Superstar artists don’t get much bigger than this, and these in particular are quite rightly commonly referred to as ’legends’. The ten specially selected 7″ singles in this box – all double AA sides – present some of the best known classic hits by these artists.

  • Crudup "Big Boy" Arthur - A Music Man Like Nobody Ever Saw 5CD Box (CD)

    100,00

5-CD boxed set (LP-size) with 68-page hardcover book, 124 tracks. Total playing time approx. 6 hrs.

A Music Man Like Nobody Ever Saw – Elvis Presley • The first box set devoted to this blues giant! • His complete recordings 1941-1962!

    • Songs include the original versions of Rock Me Mamma, That’s All Right, My Baby Left Me, Mean Ol’ Frisco, So Glad You’re Mine, and many more! • Newly researched biography by award-winning blues journalist Bill Dahl.

    • Rare and exclusive photos! In the world of music, there was never anyone quite like ARTHUR ’BIG BOY’ CRUDUP. Rooted in the Mississippi Delta, his style was propulsive, melodic, original, and profoundly soulful. If he wasn’t ’The Father of Rock ‘n’ Roll’, as one LP proclaimed, there’s no doubt that rock ‘n’ roll owes a debt to his songs, including That’s All Right Mama, My Baby Left Me, Rock Me Mamma, So Glad You’re Mine, and Mean Ol’ Frisco Blues, as much as to his tight, swinging brand of rural blues.

Arthur Crudup was in his thirties when he made his first recordings in 1941 and recorded prolifically until his death in 1974. This set includes his complete recordings from 1941 until 1962, including every extant song from RCA and its associated labels, as well as his sides for Trumpet, Checker, Ace, and Fire. Over one hundred recordings in all. An expressive singer and a true poet of the blues, Arthur Crudup certainly deserves to be known as the guy who wrote three songs that Elvis Presley recorded during the Fifties, but he was a towering musician in his own right. His influence didn’t end at Elvis Presley. In addition to all those that Elvis influenced, countless other blues and rock musicians adapted his songs and his sweet, lyrical style.

  • Various - Ace 40 – Birthday Boxset (7 single/EP)

    80,00

A celebration of our 40years in business: 1975-2015 represented by seven vinyl singles in a luxury box/book.

40 years on and, as the song says, we got to get right back where we started from. That was and still is the 7-inch vinyl 45rpm single. This traditional “album” contains seven 45s that could never fully represent the Ace story so far, but they touch on numerous aspects of what we have been doing all this time. There are unissued versions, highlights from our career, lost gems and an error corrected, but all truly terrific music. A small jukebox worth of recordings spanning the 20 years from which the bulk of Ace releases have been drawn. It is hard to believe only 20 years separate Etta James’ release for Modern from Joe Strummer’s first recording made for our Chiswick label, which in turn is now nearly 40 years old.

After our dalliance with pop and rock, which lasted until the early 80s and wasn’t without its highpoints, we shifted our attention to recording London’s garage and psychobilly bands in the wake of licensing the Cramps’ catalogue. But the blues, its more active little brother rhythm & blues, even more active grandchild soul and wayward second cousin who got the funk have always been a major strand in what we do. We heard some of that rock’n’roll music, liked it and put a lot of it out, alongside its sweeter pop counterpart and teenage rebel nephew 60s psych and garage that contributed to the backbone of the past 40 years of releases.

During that time, we have danced to many different tunes in many different styles. We jived, we twisted, then we shimmied (and shaked), glided elegantly across the northern soul dancefloor, pogoed and all the time shook a tail feather. These days it is more likely to be a soft shoe shuffle but the enthusiasm hasn’t dimmed. The dedicated team of Ace staff, engineers and consultants are still turning out a regular flow of great-sounding, handsomely packaged, articulately annotated CDs, with the odd LP and 45 thrown in for good measure. You can even download a lot of it, but unfortunately without the pretty pictures and sweet words as yet.

They say the future is online and they may be right, but nothing can match that warm fuzzy feeling the whiff of wax brings.

  • Jackson Stonewall - Waterloo 4CD + BOOK Boxset (CD)

    129,00

4-CD box (LP-size) with 73-page hardcover book, 124 tracks. Playing time approx. 310 mns.

A name like Stonewall Jackson cannot be taken lightly. Seventy years separated the death of the great Confederate general and the birth of the Grand Ole Opry star who shares his name, but they have things in common. For one, both held fast to the old way of doing things. Stonewall Jackson, OUR Stonewall Jackson was a country music fairytale come true. He drove to Nashville from Georgia in October 1956, and was on the Grand Ole Opry just days later, and has been there ever since. Signed to Columbia Records in January 1957, he recorded hardcore stone country music. Stonewall Jackson’s first session was held on the day that Sonny James held the top spot in the country charts with Young Love, but Stonewall’s music came from a harder, grimmer place. In the book that accompanies this set he tells us about his childhood, in which he was wretchedly poor and frequently abused. You can hear it all in his music. It’s not pretty music, but it’s raw and commanding. He scored many great country hits, all of them here, including
Life To Go, Why I’m Walking, BJ The DeeJay, A Wound Time Can’t Erase, Don’t Be Angry, and the fabulous original version of I Washed My Hands In Muddy Water (later recorded by Johnny Rivers , Elvis,
    and many others).

All of the alternative country bands pay lip-service to hardcore country music, but THIS is hardcore country…sung and played by the master with his story in his own words. In all, there are 124 songs recorded between 1957 and 1967, most of which have never been available on CD, and seven of which are previously unissued anywhere!

    95,00

The five-disc box set The Melody Ranch Girl collects all 151 tracks that Jean Shepard recorded for Capitol Records between 1952 and 1964. Shepard’s recordings for Capitol were undeniably her best — by and large, this is fiery, passionate honky tonk. All of her hits from this era, from ”A Dear John Letter” and ”A Satisfied Mind” to ”Beautiful Lies” and ”Second Fiddle (To An Old Guitar),” are included, as are several rarities, outtakes, and complete albums, including Songs of a Love Affair, one of the first country concept albums. The set also includes a thorough discography and biography, as well as many rare photos. For casual fans, The Melody Ranch Girl is far too lengthy and detailed to be pleasurable listening, yet for dedicated followers, it’s an essential purchase. ~ Thom Owens, All Music Guide
