Thee Flanders - Graverobbing 2 (CD)
€15,00Quick ViewInteresting songs do not have an expiry date, least of all if they are covered by THEE FLANDERS. In 2007, the first part of the successful, remarkable an extraordinary cover album of Potsdam’s Psychobilly-band was released. Now part 2 is out at last!
Quality over quantity – hence, it took 8 years to create a worthy sequel. The result flatters eyes and ears: the audience is taken on a journey through 6 decades of time, visiting strange worlds of Rock, Pop, Melody and Rhythm. Of course, all songs are done in ‘THEE FLANDERS-Way’, played in graverobbing-psychobilly-style.
Again, forgotten sound documents were reviewed and retrieved carefully and eventually refined, rather than just wildly looted in the depth of song collections. The pieces’ old glamour is retained and receives a unique patina and its own charm due to the FLANDERS character.
The sound concept works perfectly even in 2015, hence THEE FLANDERS are not coming alone but managed to inspire several famous musicians, celebrities and original artists for the project and invited them to play and sing with them.
Above all, BELA B. from DIE ÄRTZE, BRIGITTE HANDLEY from DARK SHADOWS as well as TOM TOXIC from HOLSTEIN ROCKETS shall be mentioned. The crowning finish is completed by the cream pie fan ACHIM MENTZEL. The Spreewald’s King of Rock n Roll received us in private audience, which lead to his major role in the video ‘Enjoy the Silence’ – a big show with emotional moments in fantastic shots, all packed in Super 8 and moving scenes. The video will be published parallel to the release date.
Technical information: Cover design and Artwork by Norman Winter are perfectly aligned with the music again. The first edition of the CD will include 999 pieces/units, in a great DigiPack with titles and info. With a play time of more than 40 minutes, you will get more than just small gem. A digital format to stream and download is not planned, Vinyl will definitely be given later though. The pieces were produced and mixed by Ramon Sitoci, also known as current MAD SIN bassist. Btw… Friends of the limited and specific variations can be revealed that even a special edition CD Box will appear in the coming months.
