Presley Elvis - Mood Swings (2CD) (Käytetty CD)
€60,00The third release from Rock Legends is ” Mood Swings ” featuring the infamous closing show recorded from the soundboard in Las Vegas, NV on September 2, 1974. The sound quality is a major improvement over the first issue and will contain too the first song performed by Voice titled ” I Couldn’t Live Without You ” that was missing on the original. We didn’t want the show to start with dialogue instead of music we have spliced in a version of ” C.C. Rider ” recorded less than a month after this one. Elvis’ mood swings were legendary during this period of time, and perhaps a bit over the edge on this one. The sound improvement makes it more pleasant as a muffled sound always make a recording sounding less than it was in reality. It will never be his best concert but definitely one of his best representation. As a bonus the second CD features the complete August 20, 1973 M.S., a totally different mood and one of the best ever audience recordings released, and superior to many soundboard recordings.

Presley Elvis - Sittin’ On Top Of The World (2CD) (Käytetty CD)
€50,00INCLUDING bonus gift: an exact copy of Elvis’ personal tortoise shell guitar pick
”By ElvisNews.com/ Lex, Sep 18, 2011: Gravel Road Music continues the That’s The Way It Is-series with what is Elvis’ best show, probably ever. Did we really need this show again, since BMG already released most of it?DesignMarvelous is about the only thing I can come up with. The guitar pick is a fun extra. I was told by a real collector that it differs just enough from the original to avoid mix-up. The liner notes are interesting, song by song, with additional information like original recording dates. The only minor is that even the white text is hard to read (with my reading glasses on), the darker text is almost impossible to read (at least for me). All together I can only say this release wears the mark of the dedication of real fans.ContentLike I said, BMG already released most of the show in their Special Edition 3CD-set. To make it fit they left some talking parts and the audience walk out. So here it is complete – again since International already did the job too, in two attempts. The opening isn’t my piece of cake, it sounds a bit messy and I am an Elvis fan, not an Imperials fan (but thank God it isn’t a comedian). For the Elvis part of the show I’ll make it easy and repeat what we wrote on the SE-box: More interesting for the fans is the second CD with the complete August 12th, 1970, midnight show. If you listen to it you can only conclude it’s probably one of the best shows Elvis ever gave. He is full of energy, giving it all and really firing up the band backing him up. ”Words” for instants sounds so great; Elvis really had much more control of his voice than in the known 1969 versions. ”You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin'”, partly known but with a great reprise. We can name all 22 tracks as highlight but the entire thing is so great that you have to experience it yourself completely, believe us, when you close your eyes you really feel like being there! It only makes us longing for a boxset with all recorded concerts…I still stand with that part and I won’t more songs since they all deserve to be mentioned. This set brings a bit more compared to BMG’s one. To be honest, I think I’ll stick with the BMG version because the completeness isn’t worth the disc-swapping to (lazy) me. The sound quality isn’t really different, although this set seems to have a bit more on the high end.ConclusionA great release, especially for those that don’t have previous outings of the show. If only FTD started to put the same dedication in their releases.”

Presley Elvis - Autumn Gold 2CD (Käytetty CD)
€30,00”The complete South Bend, Indiana show from October 1st, 1974 and a generous chunk of the famous August 16, 1974 RCA Hollywood rehearsal in a totally different sound – binaural stereo, as it was originally recorded. The South Bend date was originally issued in 2003 by Follow That Dream, but ”Killing Me Softly With His Song” and some stage dialogue were omitted, and the closing vamp was clipped.
Though Elvis’ personal problems were affecting some of his shows around this time, he seemed to be in fine fettle in South Bend. Overall, this show presents a solid and pleasing performance by Elvis, and though it has been released before, we can now enjoy a more complete and — most importantly – sonically superior recording of this concert!
The August 16, 1974 rehearsal surfaced on bootleg compact disc in 1995, then officially fourteen years later on Follow That Dream. For the first time, Audionics presents these songs as originally recorded, in binaural stereo; and the sound is better than ever before. Unfortunately, the entire tape is unavailable, but all the essential performances are here. It is a real pleasure to listen tracks like ”Softly As I Leave You” and ”Twelfth Of Never” in binaural form.
”AUTUMN GOLD” is presented in a great-looking 2-disc digipak with a 20-page booklet filled with photographs taken that night in South Bend and at additional live shows and candids from March, August and October 1974.
All these recordings have been carefully engineered to be presented in the best possible sound.

Presley Elvis - Takin’ Tahoe Tonight! (CD)
€35,00Takin’ Tahoe Tonight is a soundboard recording of Elvis Presley’s concert at the ’High Sierra Theatre’ at the Sahara Tahoe Hotel, Nevada at 3AM on May 13, 1973. The bonus songs are from the midnight show the same night. The CD is in Mono. Recommended listening.
While a few bootlegs do capture Elvis during this period, RCA realised that Elvis was not performing at ’full blast’ and until now no concert from this period has ever been released. So this new FTD CD is a real first. A live 1973 show, a Lake Tahoe performance, as well as the first concert release featuring Emory Gordy playing bass guitar. An interesting change since it is Emory Gordy s thundering bass that drives along the ’Burning Love single so fabulously.

Presley Elvis - Friday Night Lights 2CD (Käytetty CD)
€30,00Our new release is titled ”FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS” (SA/SP 2019-59-02). ”STRAIGHT ARROW” label is continuing to release early 70s concerts and this new release is a direct follow-up to our July release called ”KENTUCKY RAIN” (SA/SP 2019-57-02).
The Las Vegas, February 20th, 1970 Dinner show was previously released by the ”SR” label in 2015 from an inferior, degraded copying and basically unlistenable source. The show was incomplete with cuts and running way too slow.
Now you have a chance to listen to this fantastic concert in the best possible quality, for the first time.
The Las Vegas, February 20th, 1970 Midnight show is previously unreleased and it was never available in good quality and in complete form – until now! It is one of greatest Elvis shows ever with “Polk Salad Annie” and “Suspicious Minds” being reprised!!We decided to add 5 bonus tracks, recorded during the February 21st, 1970 Dinner show. These tracks were never available in decent sound quality either. This recording includes the one-liner of the Pat Boone hit ”When the Swallows Come Back to Capistrano.” Unfortunately, no more tracks from this concert were taped.
All material (incl. the bonus tracks) presented on this release was recorded by same person. This release is presented in a de-luxe 8-panel digipak, with a collection of photos taken in Las Vegas, NV, February 1970 as well as a press review. -
Presley Elvis - Everybody Let’s Rock – From Japan With Love Vol. 3 (Käytetty CD)
€30,00Recorded live from the audience in Las Vegas, NV, August 5th, 1972, D/S and M/S, this 2CD-set is subtitled ”From Japan With Love Vol. 3” because it was recorded by a member of a Japanese fan club.
The Las Vegas, August 5th, 1972 Dinner show was first released in 2008 on the CD ”Directly From The 1972 Elvis Summer Festival”. This earlier CD was taken from different, inferior source tape. Our new recording is of much better sound quality. The Las Vegas, August 5th, 1972 Midnight show is previously unreleased.
There is no need to discuss the fact that ALL shows from August/September 1972 are excellent! Natural highlights are especially ballads like ”What Now My Love”, ”An American Trilogy”, ”My Way” or ”For The Good Times” and rock’n’rolls like „A Big Hunk O’Love” or ”Johnny B. Goode” One song from Midnight show stands out: a cool, one-off of ”Jailhouse Rock”! Needless to say that this is a rarity for 1972, and what a great version it is too – it easily beats all other 70’s versions.
Both concerts are taken from a recently found first generation copies of original audience recorded cassette tapes. They were never before available in listenable sound, until now! You may ask your supplier for samples.
This CD is packaged in a nicely designed double digipak with great collection of quality images taken in August 1972.
If you enjoyed some of our other releases such as ”Rock & Soul… And Some Mighty Fine Rock’n’Roll” and ”The Make The World Go Away”, then you sure to enjoy our latest release.
As with all our releases, this CD is a labour of love and hope you enjoy it. -
Presley Elvis - Elvis – Double Date At The Gate – 40th Anniversary Edition 2CD (CD)
€30,00On November 28 & 29, 1976 Elvis performed two shows at the Cow Palace in the flower-city San Francisco. These shows have been regarded as some of Elvis’ finest performances during this busy bicentennial year for The King. Gathered here in a beautiful 2-disc digipack is both shows in excellent quality. Unfortunately the sound engineer was not able to capture the whole shows while recording, but on this release you will find every second that was captured.

€19,90After completing their 2019 Speck tour in the fall, The Boxmasters’ Bud and J.D. did as they ordinarily do and went back to the studio with a few songs and started recording. Presley Elvis - To Good To Be True (2CD) (Käytetty CD)
€30,00After his ’69 comeback on stage Elvis wanted more. In 1970 there were two more seasons in Vegas, both were partly recorded for a live release. (On Stage and That’s The Way It Is) .
Lots and lots of songs were tried out, some stayed in the show, some were only song once.
The title of this new CMT album lives up to their name, since it has an amazing collection of live songs, presented on 2 discs, one for the February Season, and one for the August Season.Like the previous releases in this series, the edits make it sound like it is one great live show… which would be… ”To Good To Be True”

Cash Tommy - Rise & Shine / Six White Horses / The American Way Of Life (CD)
€24,00The name’s cash, Tommy Cash! The man in black’s lil’ brother!! First time on CD!!!
Forever in the shadow of his elder brother johnny, Tommy Cash deserved more. As you’ll hear on this disc tommy possessed a great voice, an engaging performance and a good eye for a captivating song. Featured here are his two finest lps for their first ever appearance on CD. Recorded in 1969 and 1970 (but both released in 1970) ’rise and shine’ and ’six white horses’ are pinnacles of the Nashville storyteller’s art. The scope is wide, tackling the rigors of a musicians life ”on the road” (’one song away’), the plight of the working man (’rise and shine’), domestic homicide (’the honest truth’) and drug addiction (’carried away’). Tommy’s largest hit, the moving 1969 tribute to the slain heroes JFK, mlk and rfk (’six white horses’) still retains it’s power and it’s passion.
Deluxe collector’s edition remastered from the original master tapes featuring rare photos, exclusive liner notes and eight fine songs from the 1971 concept LP ”the American way of life”.
