For more than half a century, Jack Clement has found himself surrounded by some of the world’s greatest singers, songwriters, and instrumentalists. This was no accident. His brilliance was recognized early on by Sam Phillips whose Sun Records studio was the cradle of rock ’n’ roll.

Beyond country music, Clement produced three tracks for U2’s Rattle and Hum sessions and an album for Louis Armstrong. In other ventures, he built four of Nashville’s leading studios, produced a cult classic horror film and made perhaps the world’s first music video with Don Williams in 1972, nine years before MTV launched. Riding the trail between Monty Python and Blazing Saddles, this film inspires with lessons of creativity, mortality, and the risk and glory of a self-made life.

Deluxe two disc (CD + DVD) set. Often considered a country singer, Arkansas-born Glen Campbell made music over five separate decades in a variety of styles. This 1990 performance at the Dome in Doncaster, backed by the Jeff Dayton Band, reflects Campbell’s unique career from the early ’60s on, kicking off with US chart-topper ’Rhinestone Cowboy’ and ending with the Grammy-winning ’Gentle on My Mind’. It majors on his work with songwriter Jimmy Webb with ’Galveston’, ’By the Time I Get to Phoenix’, ’Highwayman’ and ’Wichita Lineman’. His second US chart topper, ’Southern Nights’ by Allen Toussaint, is also featured, while a Beach Boys medley celebrates his time as a musician with that band.

On January 10, 2015, at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC, A tribute concert in honor of the country icon Emmylou Harris. The recording of this live event is now available in ’The Life And Songs Of Emmylou Harris (In Concert)’. Among the musical guests were Kris Kristofferson, Mary Chapin Carpenter Alison Krauss, Sheryl Crow, Lucinda Williams, Mavis Staples, Conor Colonel and many more. Solo or together, they performed 19 of the greatest Emmylou songs, including ’One Of These Days’, ’Born To Run’, ’Two More Bottles Of Wine’ and ’Boulder To Birmingham’. Stagecoach is a 1986 made-for-television film.
It is a remake of the classic film Stagecoach (1939) and stars Kris Kristofferson as the Ringo Kid, the role originally played by John Wayne. Willie Nelson portrays famous gunslinger and dentist Doc Holliday. Johnny Cash portrays Marshal Curly Wilcox and Waylon Jennings plays the gambler, Hatfield. The cast also features Anthony Newley, June Carter Cash, John Carter Cash, Jessi Colter, Elizabeth Ashley, Mary Crosby, David Allan Coe and John Schneider as Buck.
There are some character name changes, but the plot is roughly based on that of the original film.
Plot changes include:
The Doc character is Doc Boone M.D. in the original, but he is Doc Holliday, a dentist in the remake.
In the original, Peacock, the whiskey salesman, travels all the way to Lordsburg, but here he leaves the coach at the first stop.
Hatfield, the gambler, survives, whereas he is killed in the original.
Gatewood the banker, meanwhile survives in the original but is killed here.
Ringo deals with Luke Plummer alone in the original, but in the remake he is assisted by the Marshal, Hatfield and Doc.
Ringo is still technically a jail-breaking criminal when the Marshal allows him to escape in the original, but his innocence has been proved when Luke Plummer asks the Marshal ”How’d they find out he didn’t do it?” in the remake.
