Art Neville is of the recently mega-successful Neville Brothers, and his recordings made for the specialty label between 1956-58. A clear, undecorative vocalist (quite unlike brother Aaron and his use of melisma), Art sings his songs over a funky New Orleans rock’n’roll beat and this CD includes the minor classics Cha Dooky Doo and Zing Zing as well as 18 other excellent offerings (7 previously unissued).
