Hayden Thompson is one of the last of the surviving original rock’n’rollers, and he’s still a mighty impressive performeron the rockabilly revival circuit. He might not have had any hits, but he had credentials and style to spare. He was thereat the epicentre of rockabilly back when nobody knew quite what it was or what to call it. He was born within a few milesof Elvis Presley, he saw Elvis at the dawn of his career, he made his first record within a few months of Elvis, and hewas on the legendary Sun Records.

His 1956 recording of Love My Baby is acknowledged as classic rockabilly. Itcomes no finer.
