  • Presley Elvis - The King Strikes Back (10CD Boxset) (Käytetty CD)

    129,00

The Audionics label is proud to come up with a new, comprehensive 10CD project, dedicated to Elvis’ legendary Las Vegas Summer ’74 season. It is called  ”THE KING STRIKES BACK!“ and for the first time ever, all rehearsal and live soundboard recordings are presented in best possible sound quality and in one box!
As you know, these recordings were released through the years by various bootleg labels and by the official collectors FTD label, too. Nevertheless, many of these original releases are hard to find nowadays, including several already deleted FTD CDs! For some of these recordings we have used audio tapes (master cassettes) as a source, rather than existing CD releases. We have spent dozens of hours in studio, to restore and enhance them. As usual, every recording was treated individually and restored from scratch, using today’s advanced technology to achieve the best possible sound quality for your optimal listening pleasure.

Each disc is placed in individually designed cardboard sleeve and there is a 16-page booklet, full of high quality August/September 1974 photos (including several rare ones) and reproductions of fan reviews, published in the hard-to-find Rex Martin “Elvis News Service Weekly” magazine, back in 1974. These reviews are special, because they were published shortly after the concerts and those memories are immediate and fresh.

This is the first-ever Audionics comprehensive box. It’s a special set which deserves a place in any serious Elvis collection!

  • Presley Elvis - Things Get Loose In Tuscaloosa! (Käytetty CD)

    20,00

Tuesday, June 3, 1975, 8:30 pm, Municipal Auditorium, Tuscaloosa, ALAfter the release of two essential new soundboard albums in a row (Houston We Have A Problem and The Creeping Crud Express) Audionics is now back with the third soundboard release of the year. This time the producers selected the Tuscaloosa show from June 3rd 1975, which was previously released on the King label as Deep Down South in 1997. This new release was taken from a different, superior quality tape source which was obtained at the same time as the previously mentioned unreleased soundboards.Elvis’ show in Tuscaloosa is a real fun concert that is a delight to listen to. His singing is excellent, he’s in a good mood and he clearly loves the interplay with his fans. His setlist during the June 1975 tour was a rather strong one, with a solid mix of classics and more recent numbers. Most of these were performed really well too, and even the oldies were treated with a bit more respect than usual. Keen observers will note that he dropped the tempo a notch or two on songs like All Shook Up and Teddy Bear / Don’t Be Cruel. The King was truly back, and he really rocked Tuscaloosa with great dynamic performances like Burning Love, Mystery Train / Tiger Man and, just for tonight, a gorgeous Bridge Over Troubled Water. This CD is presented in beautifully designed deluxe digi-pak with relevant liner notes and a couple of rare photos as taken on the night. Due to the lack of quality photographs from Tuscaloosa, we also used a few photos from the Huntsville, AL, May 31st 8:30 pm show. Elvis only wore the Red Eagle (or Red Phoenix) jumpsuit on these two nights. We know what you want to ask now.. ’Is this really a significant sound upgrade?’, and to that we can only answer wholeheartedly, yes! Firstly, because we were able to work from a superior tape source, and secondly, because the sonic improvement of soundboard tapes has made real quantum leaps since 1997. We are very proud of the sound that we got out of this new tape source. And while we can’t go back and touch the past”, this great new Audionics release is the next best thing to actually being there that special night in Tuscaloosa.Note: Audionics is planning a special release before the end of this year, with more previously unissued material. While the other import guys appear to be in hybernation, we are only just warming up! You can always count on Audionics to deliver the goods.”

  • Presley Elvis - In The Heart Of Georgia (April 24, 1975) (Käytetty CD)

YKSI PARHAISTA! HIEMAN HARVINAISEMAPAA LIVE MATSKUA KUIN NORMAALISTI! 2 years after the first release of this show, Audionics delivers a more complete version of Elvis Presley’s 1975 tour opener, as taken from the mixing desk. Originally released as part of the From Vegas To Macon” set, this recording was faded out during ”I’ll Remember You” and there were a few tracks missing. However, these tracks WERE recorded by the sound engineer and these unreleased tracks are included here FOR THE FIRST TIME!

The April 24th tour opening show is interesting, because it’s the first tour following the problematic September / October ’74 tour and Elvis’ subsequent hospitalization. The setlist is very interesting because it features a lot of recent material, with virtually no ’oldies’. There’s ’It’s Midnight’ and ’Promised Land’ from the December ’73 STAX sessions, ’Fairytale’ and ’T.R.O.U.B.L.E.’ from the recent TODAY sessions, as well as a welcome return of ’You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me’. Elvis sounds a bit tired here and there, but he’s also full of fun. ”My name is Johnny Cash … it’s a pleasure to be back here in Atlanta, uh, Macon” he jokes. It’s interesting to note that ’T.R.O.U.B.L.E.’ is the very first live version. Macon goes bananas for ”An American Trilogy.” Clearly, 1975 on tour beats strong in the heart of Georgia. This release is presented in a neat-looking digipack filled with many photographs taken during the April 24th Macon concert. Here’s your chance to listen to ELVIS IN THE HEART OF GEORGIA – for the first time in complete form as originally recorded!

  • Presley Elvis - Twenty Days & Nights (D.S. Aug.12. 1970) (Käytetty CD)

”The follow-up release to ” STRANGER IN THE CROWD ” by Audionics label is entitled ” TWENTY DAYS & NIGHTS ” and contains the excellent August 12, 1970 dinner show. The first outing of this recording as part of boxed set called ”TTWII – The Complete Works” was presented only in mono sound.

As all the other shows recorded during the first week of his third appearance at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, NV, Elvis’ performance was brilliant and featured many highlights such as ; I’ve Lost You, I Just Can’t Help Believin’, Patch It Up, You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me and Bridge Over Troubled Water to name a few.

” TWENTY DAYS & NIGHTS ” is in FULL STEREO sound, complete and taken from original mastertape. As its predecessor there is no noise, balance of instruments and voices are excellent too. This release will be presented in a beautiful 3-panel digipack and accompanying photographs taken from the actual show .

Fans will be able to enjoy another great performance the way it was recorded in August 1970. If you enjoyed our previous release then ” TWENTY DAYS & NIGHTS ” is not to be missed !! Coming very soon from the same label, ” SOMETHING ” featuring the August 11, 1970 DS also in FULL STEREO. ”

  • Presley Elvis - High Voltage! Birmingham `76 Revisited (Käytetty CD)

HIGH VOLTAGE – Birmingham ’76 Revisited – As Recorded live from mixing desk in Birmingham, Alabama, Jefferson Coliseum, on December 29, 1976. The two leading import labels have now joined forces, and are proud to present the first results of this very special partnership, a strictly limited edition release of the classic December 29th , 1976 concert in Birmingham, Alabama, under the title High Voltage – Birmingham ’76 Revisited”. Some of you may recall that this concert was originally released in mono on ”Burning In Birmingham” back in ’98, and that it quickly became a firm favorite. In fact, many fans preferred this show over the legendary Pittsburgh concert from two nights later, as Elvis’ performance in Birmingham was far more relaxed and authoritive, and particularly Elvis’ intense reading of ”The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” was a great surprise to many. For this reissue, we worked directly from the first generation DAT, and we were able to make significant audio improvements. After a long and painstaking process of repairing and enhancing the original binaural recording, we were able to mix it down to genuine stereo, thus ensuring a much more satisfying listening experience. Originally, the left channel consisted of all the vocals and nearly all of the instruments, while the right channel featured the (isolated) keyboards. To give you an idea of how the tape originally sounded in binaural, we added two bonustracks ”as recorded”. This release is neatly packaged in a 16-page full color booklet with ultra-cool design, relevant liner notes and a collection of stunning pix taken during Birmingham show.

’Audionics / 2001’ hope that this special joint-production will satisfy all those fans who have been clamouring for a reissue of this much sought-after title. A great deal of care and thought went into this release, and we promise you that the improved sound will blow you away. In a time where you constantly see bugball labels ripping off classic titles with cheesy equalizer-jobs, it’s becoming harder to do quality releases, but we will continue as long as you want us to. The original 2001 people want to thank everybody for their loyalty, and add that, ”It ain’t over until the fat lady sings!”. And with this little gem of a CD, she finally has a good reason to sing with joy.”
