OLD STOCK limitedAn updated expansion of a 1985 Rockstar vinyl album (RSRCD1008). That long-deleted LP contained ten previously unissued Eddie Cochran stereo recordings plus six Cochran classics such as ’Summertime blues’, ’C’mon everybody’ and ’Teenage Heaven’. They are all on this CD reissue along with 19 additional tracks, including two more stereo recordings and an assortment of rare and previously unissued cuts of songs such as ’Think of me’, ’Nervous breakdown’ and out-takes of ’Teenage cutie’. The last four stereo tracks feature two of Buddy Holly’s band The Crickets, with guitarist Sonny Curtis and drummer Jerry Allison accompanying Eddie on ’Cut across shorty’, ’Cherished memories’ (two versions) and ’Three steps to Heaven’.

Also, taking time out from his UK tour, special guest rockstar Eddie Cochran who is accompanied by Joe Brown and the Firing Squad, the same musicians who backed Billy Fury on his famous 1960 10 rockabilly LP ? ’The Sound of Fury’.The show also includes introductions and some very interesting interviews with some of the artists. There are also four bonus tracks from various shows between late 1959 and early 1960 by Johnny Cash, Gene Vincent, Ronnie Hawkins and the show’s cast which feature Billy Fury, Marty Wilde, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Joe Brown, Adam Faith and Jess Conrad. The CD contains a twelve page booklet which includes many original photos from the shows some not seen before and liner notes by Derek Genister.”
