  • Presley Elvis - Hilton Showroom vol. 5 (Käytetty CD)

    20,00

Includes an audience recording of the complete and so far unreleased performance from March 27, 1975 (Dinner Show) at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel. Expect another dynamic Elvis performance from a time period when Elvis was willing to “deliver”!

Here we go with probably the last known recording of a March 75 Elvis Vegas-Show in pretty good, listenable sound. From the reports we have on hand (mainly from our personal archives of original “Elvis News Service Weekly” magazines) it shows that Elvis did just great since the engagement started on March 18. Forrest Duke from the “Las Vegas review Journal” commented “Hilton´s Elvis stronger than ever” and pointed out some new titles in Elvis´ setlist. Even Glen D. Hardin´s Aunt Ann Cummings attended the shows around March 27 and commented positively “Elvis his old self again”. Well, since you are soon able to own the complete performance on CD just judge yourself! Fans of our series know what to expect, not only from listening but also from reading in the usual high quality booklet that is included with first-hand information from what was going on at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas in March of 1975.

Please be aware that this new release is limited to 300 copies only! Be sure to get your copy if you are interested. Once you have it in your hands, we hope your spare time will allow you to sit back, put your headphones on, flip through the accompanied 16-page booklet and listen to the Dinner Show from March 27, 1975. It´s Las Vegas! It´s the Hilton Hotel Showroom! It´s ELVIS! Enjoy!

Includes an audience recording of the complete and so far unreleased performance from March 31, 1975 (Dinner Show) at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel. The sound on this new CD is probably the best from all volumes of the series so far. To assure yourself take a listen to the sample!

So here we go with a really interesting show in really good sound. From the reports we have on hand (mainly from our personal archives of original “Elvis News Service Weekly” magazines) it shows that Elvis seemed a bit uncomfortable with the audience on this Monday evening. One fan from the US even commented “Elvis came out rarin’ to go and was hit right at the beginning by the coldest, deadest audience we have ever seen in Vegas”. Well, since you now have the complete performance on CD just judge yourself! Fans of our series know what to expect, not only from listening but also from reading in the usual high quality booklet that is included with first-hand information from what was going on at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas in March of 1975.

  • Presley Elvis - Opening Night At Lake Tahoe (Käytetty CD)

AudiRec proudly presents: ELVIS – OPENING NIGHT AT LAKE TAHOE – a brandnew CD which will be released shortly. It includes an audience recording of the complete and so far unreleased performance from April 30, 1976 (the Opening Show was actually a Dinner Show, there were two performances this day).

Welcome to another AudiRec CD release which takes you back to the spring of 1976. At the time this CD is being released it means that it´s actually kind of a “40th Anniversary”. To be honest, we did not plan to do this just because it is exactly 40 years ago that Elvis played his final Lake Tahoe-Season.

As a matter of fact Elvis was working very hard the whole year of 1976. While in January Elvis had a rather quiet time and even showed some effort to just relax and have fun, early February he was kind of “forced” to record new songs for an album release and early March he was back on tour. We all know from “Elvis History”, that the “King” would have done much better for his health if he would not let himself being that busy but for whatever reason tour after tour was being scheduled… and done. No matter what the critics in many newspapers wrote about his performances – at least they had to admit that Elvis´ popularity (at least all over the USA) was so big that ticket-selling for any upcoming concerts didn´t even need any advertising. Billboard´s Headline in early March 76´ told us “No Ads, But Presley SRO On Current 5-Concert Gig” for the short tour in March. “Elvis plans busy spring” was another headline shortly after this and it said “Like Lightning: Who says Elvis isn´t working hard? Before he stars at the Sahara Tahoe April 30 – May 9, Elvis will be on a concert tour”, then adding the dates and finally conclude “Elvis is still the super superstar”.

So when Elvis came to the beautiful area of Lake Tahoe at the end of April, he most likely was not aware that this would be his last season at the Sahara Tahoe Hotel. The shows have mostly been described by fans as “relaxed” with “lots of surprising moments”, but there were also remarks saying that the “King” looked unhealthy and tired. From what we can hear on the so far released CDs it sure was a mixture of all of this and still we believe that this last engagement had many moments fans do not want to miss.

Please be aware that this new release is limited to 300 copies only! Be sure to get your copy if you are interested. Once you have it in your hands, we hope your spare time will allow you to sit back, put your headphones on, flip through the accompanied 16-page booklet and listen to the show from April 30, 1976. It´s Lake Tahoe! It´s the Sahara Tahoe Showroom! It´s ELVIS! Enjoy!

AudiRec proudly presents: ELVIS – HILTON SHOWROOM VOLUME 2 – a brand new CD which will be released shortly. It includes an audience recording of the complete and so far unreleased performance from December 5, 1975 – only three days after the much acclaimed Opening Show of Elvis´ December Las Vegas 75 Season.

It´s been quite a few months since Elvis´ unexpected break-up season of August 1975 and his fans didn´t know what to expect from his return to the Hilton Showroom, although there were of course high hopes for a triumphant series of concerts. Also there were two things that immediately catches the eyes and the ears of fans and critics once the “King” was back on stage in Las Vegas ‘Hilton Showroom: Elvis was noticeably heavier than ever before in his life and he was singing with a certain quality in his voice which was probably stronger than ever before! It´s easy to say so even though audience recordings are mostly far from perfect when it comes to reveal details in a singer´s voice. Elvis sang great in December of 1975 and once you get to hear songs like “Just Pretend” or “How Great Thou Art”, but also “Trying To Get to You”, with this powerful magic of God´s given talent in Elvis´ Voice you will have to agree.

Please be aware that this new release is limited to 300 copies only! Be sure to get your copy if you are interested. Once you have it in your hands, we hope your spare time will allow you to sit back, put your headphones on, flip through the accompanied 16-page booklet (including an extensive fan-review of the show written very shortly after the concert was over) and listen to the show from December 5, 1975. It´s Las Vegas! It´s the Hilton Hotel Showroom! It´s ELVIS! Enjoy!

  • Presley Elvis - Elvis Opening Night 1975 (Käytetty CD)

diRec proudly presents: ELVIS – OPENING NIGHT 1975 – a brandnew CD Set which will be released shortly. It includes an audience recording of the complete performance from March 18, 1975 – well known as the “Opening Night” for Elvis´ March/April Las Vegas 75 Season.

Elvis hadn´t worked in five months when he came back to Las Vegas in March 1975 and although he carried a lot of uncomfortable weight inside his stage clothing, his spirits were higher than they´d been at the start of a Las Vegas engagement in years. If you take a close look to the setlist(s) of this engagement, it shows that Elvis put in really lots of contemporary songs instead of his own “Oldies”. For instance, Opening Night delivered just two songs from the ’50s (“Love Me” and “I Got A Woman”). Compared to setlists from the years before this new one was full of good choices. For us listeners of today it is even more: It’s GREAT to hear Elvis doing so many well-performed songs!

Expect a fine, decent CD Set containing a great show and be sure to get your copy at your local dealer! Accompanied by a 16-page booklet with lots of information and pictures from the first couple of shows of the season this new CD release is – just like the first release on AudiRec (the already sold-out 2 CD Set “Elvis At The Hilton) – also limited to only 300 copies.
